And I did it again....

Yup, when an entire month without posting anything!!! I don't have too much to say, just that Nolan is so crazy! He definitely keeps me busy! He had his 9 month check up last week and is just doing great!! He is so silly and such a happy baby!!! Here are a few things that have been going on....

I took him in this little sprinkler I bought him...didn't like it to well!! I think he thought it was a tad cold, I should have bought a pool, but since we have one right across the street, I thought the Sprinkler Seal made more sense...

Just being mad...he didn't like the grass either....

He loves playing with his truck!!! He hasn't quite figured out how to walk behind it, but he will walk behind it on his knees and bounce.

My great experience...

So I know most of you have already heard me raving about the new Aldi foods!!! Soo excited! Well a couple of weeks ago, I must admit I did a little bit of a dorky thing. After I went to Aldi, I had to run to Target to get some additional things like towels, and a card. I was planing on doing most of my shopping at Target, because I didn't think that Aldi would have some of the things I needed like Plantains, Italian Dressing, Cookie Dough, etc. And honestly, I didn't think the quality of the produce would be worth getting, because Sprouts is usually REALLY cheap, but you kind of get what you pay for. BOY was I wrong. The produce was A-MAZING!! It was fresh, neat, you didn't have to pick through a million different things to find fruits not bruised or anything. I was THRILLED!! So onto my dorky thing...since I didn't get that much, as I walked through Target I marked how much it was at Target on my Aldi receipt. I wrote down the store brand of each product...look at my findings!!!
It is kind of hard to read, but I spent $41.37 at Aldi, and Target added up to $60.80, that's without the little bit of tax on a few of the items!!! That's almost $24.00 in savings!!!!! Not bad when you are trying to save money!!!

Well I hope everyone had a splendid Easter! We had a great time in Wichita with our famililies...I really don't have too much to say except that Nolan is EVERYWHERE now and has already started to pull himself up!! We didn't get around to getting his 6 month pictures done, so they got done at 7 and 1/2 months...that's ok! I also took some pictures of him in motion, and on Easter Day, but I need to get those off of the camera, here are a few that we got done! ENJOY!

Nolan is really learning how to get around!! He hasn't quite mastered crawling, although he is almost there!! He will move a little and then go to his stomach. But boy can he get to something when he wants it...It's almost kind of sad how fast he is starting to grow up :(...I'm not trying to spoil him, but I definitely hold him a lot, because I know all to quickly he will be running around like crazy and not wanting me to hold him anymore. He has such a little personality now and is truly our little monster. Here is"monster" trying to go under the chair...he got stuck right after this picture and started crying. LOL...

He has two little teeth now!! You can't really see them in this picture, but they are there!! Just giving my best boy a kiss. Don't look at me though...kind of greasy..

I have to keep Nolan busy while I am in the kitchen. This particular day I was cutting up veggies, and he got to enjoy a carrot!! Kept him busy for awhile!!

I am getting a little better at posting pictures on facebook...just not so great at blogging. I am going to try and continue to blog though..my very smart friend Kari told me I should print my blog out...what a great idea!! SOOO I decided that I am going to blog until Nolan is one, and then print it out for keepsakes. Blog2Print.com, is really cool, and they bind it for you and everything. I will continue to blog after that, just under something different, not "Little Baby Hawkins." So I have a little longer on this one, so I am going to try and be better!!! Funny how when I had so much time I would blog, basically about nothing, and now I have EVERYTHING to blog about, and no time...busy, busy, busy!! But every second is worth it!!!

My little monster!!!

So how can this be?? Jonathan and I are convinced that we are going through the terrible twos already..with the rolling around and whining when we are trying to get dressed, the arching the back when getting in the car seat, the bbbbbbbbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrr when eating....what a mess!!! How can this be?!?! He isn't even crawling yet!!! LOL!! But boy is he a handful!! I love him to pieces though!!

We are not sleeping through the night yet...but one time last week he went from 7p - 5a!! WOOT WOOT!! We are going places now!!! Now if this darn scrolling thing would get fixed with blogger!! It just takes way too long to upload pictures!! Until then I will just have to do short little snippets with limited pictures!!!

6 months!!!!!

My little baby is growing up sooo fast!! Already six months old!! At his 6 month check up he was 18.46 pounds, and 27 inches long!!! Big boy!! He is doing something new everyday it seems like!!! At his 6 month check-up, the doctor said he could start eating Puffs!!! He didn't really like them at first...He started sitting up!!! And is rocking now!!!

His teeth are juuuust starting to come in...I'll post more soon, but Blogger is being annoying about putting pictures up....it's not scrolling!!

Has it really been that long....

Well once a month....not too bad! OK so yeah that's really bad. I think my excuse is just that by the end of the day I just really don't feel like coming back upstairs to blog or whatever...but since I did have some new pics, I thought I might as well put them up!!


Well lets see what we are doing now...rolling over both ways...yea!!!, sitting on our changing table---not quite on the floor yet, grabbing at the dogs, still eating the feet, eating lots of different foods, holding the bottle...ya know the normal firsts. What I found funny was that in his baby book on the "My Firsts Page," the "My first time to sleep through the night," slot was the FIRST thing listed on the page....YET, we still have not filled that little section in. We are getting much better though. He is consistently waking up around 11:00 and 3:00 after going to bed at 7:00, and most of the time will sleep until 6:45 or 7:00 at the VERY latest. Can't wait to get the day started.


He likes to sit on his changing table while I clean up his room and fold laundry...anyone catch that?? Of course I am standing by him mom!!! :)
He loves his activity gym that Aunt Mimi got him!!!! It's so funny when he looks like he is running in place to the music.
He is just getting to be such a big boy! OH and probably the biggest accomplishment, no more swaddle!!! When I saw him roll over on the monitor, I was like OK and we are done with that. He didn't mind it really at all. I think it was probably starting to make him wake up more when he would try and bust out during the night. He's momma's best boy though!!
