4 month check up and early Christmas

Today Nolan had his 4 month check up!! Such a big boy!! He weighed 14 pounds 10 ounces and was 26 inches long!!!! He is in 50-75% percentile in weight and 90% in height!! LOONG BOY!!! He had to get 2 shots and was so good, hardly cried! He got to open his Christmas gifts early...he got a gate (not pictured), a clock radio with a CD player on it, some clothes, a Tummy Time mirror, and a Little People learn to ride toy. He was thrilled!!! So excited he's drooling with excitement!!! :)

Homemade Pictures

Well it has been a little while...we tried getting Christmas pictures done yesterday. I scheduled an appointment, bought some new outfits, the whole thing....so we get there 15 minutes early like they say, and they didn't take us until an HOUR later. So of course by this time Nolan is hungry, and tired, and not feeling taking pictures at all!!! Sooo we had to do our own little studio at home and take some...they didn't turn out to to bad. Of course Jonathan had to keep saying "come on already you're not a professional!" I had to make them look kind of good though. These are his Christmas pictures!! :)

Trick or Treat!!!

A little late on updating the Halloween pictures, but at least they are getting up!! I didn't get Nolan an elaborate costume this year since he was kind of young, so he just had a little pumpkin footie that said My First Halloween, and an adorable toboggan that said Baby's First Boo. That worked for this year... Jonathan dressed up as a fat ballerina at the last minute, and I just wore a festive shirt (kind of boring.) Next year we are going all out though!!! Our neighborhood was crazy and soooo many people dress up!!!

Just a quick hello!!

Had a second to say hello.... and wanted to say a very big Congratulations to Allie and John (and Hank of course) on their precious baby girl, Emerson Kate. She is soo cute and looks JUST like her Daddy!!!!

Ok so I lied....

Yeah, I know I said I was going to be better at blogging....guess I lied. It's hard when I have my camera here, my cord there, Nolan has been sleeping but now he is stirring so will I really have time to blog...you know how it goes. But I figured I could at least start tonight and then if he started crying just finish, hopefully I can just finish though.

Well my little baby seems like he is already becoming a little boy. Haha I know not really, he is just 11 weeks still, but he is growing up so fast. He started acting interested in his toys, so I decided to put his toy bar back on his bouncy seat. And what do you know, he started trying to hit them. I was like way to go mom, delay his development by not putting his toy bar on sooner. Oh well...what are you going to do... :) He is smiling and cooing...always just when he wants to though. So I tell people that he is doing this, "yeah he is smiling, he coos, he kicks his legs when you show him his toys.." then people come over and he just looks at them. I'm like way to go Nolan, make me look like a liar! But he is doing just fine.

He weighed 12.12 and was 23 inches at his 2 month appointment. He grew out of his gowns and now wears his footy pjs to bed. And he grew out of his size 1 diapers before he had a chance to wear them all. So they are just in the box of stuff he is growing out of daily (or so it seems.) I'm still not back to work...I just don't want to put him in daycare, and then I feel bad for the person that watches him, because sometimes he just wants to be held...all day. So obviously someone can't do that, and so I just decided that I just can't go back yet. Lol. But enough of me going on and on...here are some recent pictures of my precious boy...

Not too happy with me here...

Ok so I have fallen behind a tad....

OK so I haven't kept up as much as I thought I would. Breastfeeding is totally to blame!! I swear every time I am finished, and get my head together to what I have to do, I come upstairs and sit down and it's time for him to eat again...so since he is doing pretty good at getting on a little routine at night--I thought I would come and try to get a little updating done in this 3 hour stretch...

I haven't been doing so hot at taking pictures either...I really need to get better at that!! I do have some though of some recent things...he is a growing boy..I was looking at the pictures that I do have and noticed that he doesn't even fit into his newborn onesies anymore, and hasn't for over a week.

Sleep, sleep with daddy.

So his umbilical cord took the absolute maximum amount of time to fall off. "1 - 3 weeks. " It was exactly three. I was so excited because I wanted to give him a real bath... with milk all over his face, and 35 doo doo diapers a day ( a little exaggeration ) I didn't think the sponge bath was cutting it. I thought he would like it...

So I started getting him ready....

Ok so I was wrong.

and screamed!!! haha poor little guy...

Just a little info..he does love his baths now. I do it in his bather upstairs...I just think he hated the sink. He is actually getting his routine down good. He has a bath between 6:30 and 7:00; then eats, then goes to bed!!

He loooves to sleep with his arms in the touchdown position!!

Today he had his 1 month check up!! Time is flying by!! He weighs 9.72 pounds!!! He did soo good and only cried for a second when he got his shot.

I will try and be a little better at keeping things updated. A lot of it will probably be a major post with lots of pictures!! As soon as his newborn pictures come in, I will put those up here. They are awesome!!!!
