And we're moving.....

Nolan is really learning how to get around!! He hasn't quite mastered crawling, although he is almost there!! He will move a little and then go to his stomach. But boy can he get to something when he wants it...It's almost kind of sad how fast he is starting to grow up :(...I'm not trying to spoil him, but I definitely hold him a lot, because I know all to quickly he will be running around like crazy and not wanting me to hold him anymore. He has such a little personality now and is truly our little monster. Here is"monster" trying to go under the chair...he got stuck right after this picture and started crying. LOL...

He has two little teeth now!! You can't really see them in this picture, but they are there!! Just giving my best boy a kiss. Don't look at me though...kind of greasy..

Hailey had a "PURPLELICIOUS" party for her birthday. My two handsome fellas ready to go to the partay!!!
I have to keep Nolan busy while I am in the kitchen. This particular day I was cutting up veggies, and he got to enjoy a carrot!! Kept him busy for awhile!!

I am getting a little better at posting pictures on facebook...just not so great at blogging. I am going to try and continue to blog though..my very smart friend Kari told me I should print my blog out...what a great idea!! SOOO I decided that I am going to blog until Nolan is one, and then print it out for keepsakes. Blog2Print.com, is really cool, and they bind it for you and everything. I will continue to blog after that, just under something different, not "Little Baby Hawkins." So I have a little longer on this one, so I am going to try and be better!!! Funny how when I had so much time I would blog, basically about nothing, and now I have EVERYTHING to blog about, and no time...busy, busy, busy!! But every second is worth it!!!

My little monster!!!

So how can this be?? Jonathan and I are convinced that we are going through the terrible twos already..with the rolling around and whining when we are trying to get dressed, the arching the back when getting in the car seat, the bbbbbbbbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrr when eating....what a mess!!! How can this be?!?! He isn't even crawling yet!!! LOL!! But boy is he a handful!! I love him to pieces though!!

We are not sleeping through the night yet...but one time last week he went from 7p - 5a!! WOOT WOOT!! We are going places now!!! Now if this darn scrolling thing would get fixed with blogger!! It just takes way too long to upload pictures!! Until then I will just have to do short little snippets with limited pictures!!!

6 months!!!!!

My little baby is growing up sooo fast!! Already six months old!! At his 6 month check up he was 18.46 pounds, and 27 inches long!!! Big boy!! He is doing something new everyday it seems like!!! At his 6 month check-up, the doctor said he could start eating Puffs!!! He didn't really like them at first...He started sitting up!!! And is rocking now!!!

His teeth are juuuust starting to come in...I'll post more soon, but Blogger is being annoying about putting pictures up....it's not scrolling!!

Has it really been that long....

Well once a month....not too bad! OK so yeah that's really bad. I think my excuse is just that by the end of the day I just really don't feel like coming back upstairs to blog or whatever...but since I did have some new pics, I thought I might as well put them up!!


Well lets see what we are doing now...rolling over both ways...yea!!!, sitting on our changing table---not quite on the floor yet, grabbing at the dogs, still eating the feet, eating lots of different foods, holding the bottle...ya know the normal firsts. What I found funny was that in his baby book on the "My Firsts Page," the "My first time to sleep through the night," slot was the FIRST thing listed on the page....YET, we still have not filled that little section in. We are getting much better though. He is consistently waking up around 11:00 and 3:00 after going to bed at 7:00, and most of the time will sleep until 6:45 or 7:00 at the VERY latest. Can't wait to get the day started.


He likes to sit on his changing table while I clean up his room and fold laundry...anyone catch that?? Of course I am standing by him mom!!! :)
He loves his activity gym that Aunt Mimi got him!!!! It's so funny when he looks like he is running in place to the music.
He is just getting to be such a big boy! OH and probably the biggest accomplishment, no more swaddle!!! When I saw him roll over on the monitor, I was like OK and we are done with that. He didn't mind it really at all. I think it was probably starting to make him wake up more when he would try and bust out during the night. He's momma's best boy though!!

Lots of Firsts!!

Here are some things Nolan has been up to... he is really in to sticking his tongue out as you will notice in a lot of the pictures.

Yea for a white Christmas!!! We had a fun time playing in the snow for a very short while....
The dogs on the other hand, didn't want to come in!!

Nolan has also found that he likes watching TV upside down....such a little weirdo...

Sunday was a big day for Nolan. He had lots of firsts...

He has been eating food for almost a month now... but Sunday was his first day to eat breakfast! He eats TWO solid food meals a day now!!! We are slowly adding in new things to his diet, so it's not very exciting right now: Avacados, cereal, sweet potatoes, squash, greenbeans and prunes. We were going to do bananas, but the squash made him constipated, so prunes had to come a little early.... :) It was also his first day to sit in his highchair!!! He actually did REALLY well in it. It goes on the chair, and has three positions, so right now he just sits back and enjoys his food...
And the last first, was Nolan's first day to church!! YEAAA!! After almost FIVE months, we finally made it back to church!!!! We didn't make it to Sunday School yet, but at least we got there. He enjoyed the singing, but got a little fussy during the preaching so Daddy took him to the viewing area. Next week we will try the nursery for just a little bit!!

Big boy!!

4 month check up and early Christmas

Today Nolan had his 4 month check up!! Such a big boy!! He weighed 14 pounds 10 ounces and was 26 inches long!!!! He is in 50-75% percentile in weight and 90% in height!! LOONG BOY!!! He had to get 2 shots and was so good, hardly cried! He got to open his Christmas gifts early...he got a gate (not pictured), a clock radio with a CD player on it, some clothes, a Tummy Time mirror, and a Little People learn to ride toy. He was thrilled!!! So excited he's drooling with excitement!!! :)
